(A persuasive individual, inherently innovative, with strong negotiating skills and a wide technical background.)

2015: In spite of the huge market potential, and the singular uniqueness of these innovations, I was unable to secure any kind of government funding for filing world-wide patent applications. Thus I was only able to apply for a US and Canadian patent during the national phase entry of the international application. And with denied funding of course, I was also denied legal assistance. But the learning curve has been so steep, and the depth of intrigue to crush this application has been so prevalent, that it's been a full time job just to continue for these past three years.

2015: Re-filed a Canadian patent application that was lost (the second one that CIPO "lost") on a vacuum door with deadbolt and deadlatch pick-proof locks.

2011: Filed patents on pickproof locks, subway suicide-jumper catcher system, quick grasp/lock tool, vacuum door, luminescent portal, and additional Automated Window Enclosure models.

2010: Built prototypes, and filed patents on the Automated Window Enclosure system that can save more energy in Canada than our nuclear plants generate --WO/2011/021157, CA2705085. See website animation http://TrueDemocracy.ca/awe.html.

2008-2009: Deputy Returning Officer for Elections Canada in British Columbia.

2008-2009: Residential construction contractor / subcontractor; siding (hardi, vinyl), demolition, power tool repair, mechanic.

2005-2006: Candidate for federal election with the Canadian Action Party, Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca riding. My campaign expanded public debate during a pivotal federal election and offered important new choices to Canadians to better cope with the massive dislocations that are now faced as the world approaches the end of the conventional oil era.

1997-2007: eNews Insights -- editor of email news gleaning service. In reviewing hundreds of news articles daily from largely independent investigative sources worldwide, this service proved indispensable in monitoring Canada's mainstream media monopoly. Thus important information found to be under-reported or avoided by the mainstream media was forwarded to my subscription list.

1986-2011: Conscripted as a Big Brother watcher. Therefore developed an intense security mindedness (and some effective privacy protection hardware).

1986-1989: Political education hiatus (UofT stacks) to corroborate instinctive conclusions about the cause of crime and human predation generally. Sadly, the Ontario government refused my request for a grant to publish those conclusions. See website: http://TrueDemocracy.ca/archive.html

1978-1986: The Professional Builder Inc. -- office manager of residential construction firm. My duties were diverse, ranging from the actual startup (the formulation and registration of the articles of incorporation) to the corporate tax strategy and year-end returns.

1975-1978: Whitby Free Press & TV Facts -- advertising sales, design & promotion.

1973-1975: D Piney Enterprises -- owner/technician general repairs.

Accumulating skills at the time naturally led to a repair and renovation business. I tackled virtually any project as it arose, including most aspects of building construction and renovation; as well as repairs or rebuilds to mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment (vehicles, small engines, appliances, etc.). I also learned automotive bodywork, metal fabrication and welding skills. The value of this diverse background cannot be overestimated. I was able to become proficient at most trades as a result, which naturally facilitates problem solving innovation, an important hallmark of my life.

1969-1972: Off-track betting -- administration.

Beginning as a store clerk, while recovering from injuries at the racetrack, I graduated to area supervisor and opened and ran new stores in North Bay, Lindsay, and Peterborough Ontario. I eventually became supervisor of the betting operation --flying to various thoroughbred tracks daily throughout Ontario-- and thus became accustomed to working with large amounts of cash under extreme time constraints. However, Canada decided to end the off-track betting industry at the time.

1967-1969: Thoroughbred racehorses -- jockey, horseman.

Blessed with a small stature, my career as jockey was a given since childhood. Thus I dropped out of school when old enough in order to travel the racetrack and rodeo circuits. I remained in touch with those roots and thus have accumulated a lifetime of horsemanship prowess, including comprehensive veterinary skills.
